Wet weather pushes back the Zanesville Fire Department's hydrant flushing.

Hydrant flushing that was scheduled for Thursday is being moved to Monday, May 19.

It will take place in the following areas

  • Pershing Road on the west side of Pine Street to the Railroad Tracks
  • Ridge Avenue
  • Brighton Boulevard
  • Dryden Road
  • All side streets

The Zanesville Fire Department announced a change in its hydrant flushing program. 

The fire department was scheduled to flush hydrants Monday, but due to weather that has been pushed back to tomorrow. 

The following areas will be affected:

  • Linden Avenue south of Sheridan Street,
  • Lee Street
  • State Street
  • Blue Avenue south of Adair Avenue

The New Concord Water Department said it plans to flush hydrants on Tuesday, March 25 from 8am to 3 pm, weather permitting.

Customers throughout the Village may experience discolored water during that time, and are urged to not do laundry until the water clears.
