Traffic on interstate 70 West between the Maple Avenue and State Street exit was moving at a snail's pace this afternoon.

Trooper Corey Campbell of the State Highway Patrol says that just before 11 a.m. a refrigeration truck rear-ended a Ford pickup causing radiator fluid and truck coolant to spill on the roadway.

Two people are taken to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital as a result of a crash on Interstate 70.

It happened around 7 p.m. near the Underwood Street exit in Zanesville. ZPD Patrolman James Devoll says the driver of the Jeep was in the left westbound lane when he lost control, struck the center median, and then turned sideways into a private passenger bus in the right lane. Emergency crews are saying backed-up traffic from the Airport Road exit caused two semi trucks to collide in the westbound lanes on Interstate 70.

It happened about five miles east of the downed power line, near the Norwich exit.

Lieutenant Mark Ross of the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office says the one driver ran into the semi truck in front of him. Both drivers were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital with what Ross is calling minor injuries.

The Ohio Department of Transportation is announcing a new plan for the Interstate 70 repaving project.

Drivers will no longer run into daytime restrictions.

"We witnessed a lot of backup. So, some people decided to take State Route 40 and State Route 22. There was other options available for them, " says ODOT spokeswoman, Kate Stickle.

An Interstate 70 repavement project begins Wednesday night in Muskingum County.

The nine-mile stretch will start at the east Zanesville corporation limit and go through State Route 797, which is also referred to as the Airport Road/Sonora Road exit.

The Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol is releasing new details, involving an Interstate 70 crash that took the lives of 3 adults and 2 children back in June.

Post commander, Lieutenant Steven Rine says drugs may be a contributing factor.

Interstate 70 westbound is closed in Guernsey County between State Route 285 and State Route 513 due to an accident. Crews will detour traffic off of I- 70 at exit 193, to SR 513 north – U.S. Route 22 west – Interstate 77 south to I-70. No other details have b een released.

The Granville Post of the State Highway Patrol says it appears that a man who died along Interstate 70 in Licking County yesterday committed suicide.

Dispatchers say based on eye-witness reports that troopers collected, 60-year-old Robert Snedden Junior jumped out of the car that was traveling eastbound.

His wife, 63-year-old Roberta Snedden, was driving. Robert was pronounced dead at the scene.

A rollover accident on Interstate 70 sends one person to the hospital.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. by mile mark 162, near the Norwich exit.

Trooper Todd Henry of the Zanesville Post says Lydia Sblordeppey of Fairfield, Ohio was traveling west in the left-hand lane when she went off the left side of the road, into the median, and hit rumble strips.
