A rollover accident on Interstate 70 sent two people to the hospital on Tuesday afternoon.

New Concord Fire Chief Brent Gates said it happened around 1:30 PM on I-70 near the New Concord exit.  The State Highway Patrol also responded to the call.  Gates said a Honda Civic was traveling east when it lost control and rolled into the westbound lanes.

The State Highway Patrol is investigating a Wednesday morning accident on the Interstate.

The Licking County Post of the State Highway Patrol said the accident between a van and a semi took place around 6:14 Wednesday morning on Interstate 70 west near the Newark/Thornville exit.

Dispatchers said while crews work to clear the scene traffic will remain contained to one lane. Injuries are unknown at this time.

The Monday morning commute may be a slow one for those trying to make it east on Interstate 70.

The Granville Post of the State Highway Patrol said I-70 eastbound between Pataskala and Kirkersville is down to one lane because of an accident.

The Ohio Department of Transportation said a portion of westbound Interstate 70 in Guernsey County was closed early this morning...but as of 7:30 am one westbound lane has been re-opened.  The accident happened between State Route 83 in New Concord (mile marker 169) and U.S. 40 in Norwich.  Diesel fuel was spilled as a result of the accident, but most of it has been cleaned up.  Traffic is moving slow through the area since only one lane of the interstate is open....

The eastbound lanes and one westbound lane of Interstate 70 at exit 160 near Airport Road is now open following a Monday morning accident.

Sergeant Clark Felix with the State Highway Patrol said a semi and car were both traveling west on the roadway when the car driven by Garcia Gomez went off the roadway, hit a guardrail and then came back onto the roadway into the path of the semi, driven by Allan Romanik.

Romanik struck Gomez's car and then continued into the grass median...
