Area children performed for their family, friends and teachers at the Ohio University Zanesville Campus at Elson Hall.

Sunday was the Annual Junior Music Club Festival Recital." Participants were from all over Muskingum County and ranged in age from 8th grade and younger, the youngest of the group was in the 2nd grade. Area music club instructors introduced each of their pupils to guests before performing.

The Zanesville Civic Chorus and Orchestra will present the 84th annual performance of "Messiah" Sunday evening.

Performers met at Central Trinity United Methodist Church on 7th street to rehearse for the big day on Saturday. More than 120 performers including soloists, chorus and orchestra members will entertain the crowd on Sunday night. Director, James McLaughlin says it's a show you do not want to miss.

Locals got a chance to hear musical selections composed by Bach, Beethoven and a variety of contemporary artists all for free at an annual concert on Sunday.

The sights and sounds of the holiday season continue in Zanesville.

The eighty-second annual presentation of Handel's, "Messiah" played Sunday at the Central Trinity Church on South 7th street, featuring the Zanesville Civic Corus and Orchestra.

A dance team that's touring all over the world made a stop in Zanesville to help educate students in our area.

The Zanesville Concert Association sponsored a free concert to all 4th graders in Muskingum County. The Lakota Sioux Indian Dance Theater performed for the 1,400 students that come to Monday's concert at Secrest Auditorium. Before seeing the show the students had to learn about the Native American Tribe.
