Easter Sunday is a week away, but festivities have already begun...
Kids brought their baskets to Lake Isabella on Saturday for an Easter Egg Hunt. Lake Trustee Teresa Little said more children participated than she expected.
"Last year was our first one, we had 70 some last year and this year we've had 105. And we just enjoy having all the kids and, you know, it's something to do before we open," said Little.

With a heat index well into the upper 90's it didn't stop some local residents trying to beat the heat.
The heat was motivation for many families to come splash around at Lake Isabella in East Fultonham, but for others it may have been the opposite. Board of Trustees President Allen Reed said although the lake seemed full it was not nearly the crowd he would expect in this type of weather. The camp features playgrounds, basketball and tennis courts...all of which seemed empty compared...
While many families soaked up the sun at Lake Isabella some took a moment to share the warmth.
The Red-Cross Blood Mobile was parked just outside the lake asking swimmers to donate. According to Charge Nurse, Franceis Shepard there is currently a critical need for blood donors. She says the shortage is due to school being let out for the summer, so less blood drives take place. Ironically, it's the summer time when the most blood is needed due to more activity, travel and accidents....
HAUNTED TRAILS AT LAKE ISABELLA!
This family friendly event will have all kinds of games, attractions, food, and a haunted trail to walk through!
When: October 1st-31st starting at dusk Wednesdays through Sundays.
Where: Lake Isabella Trails located at 4th Street East Fultonham, OH
Why: A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
