A Perry County landfill is trying to advance green energy in the area.
Senior District Manager of Waste Management at the Suburban Landfill in Glenford is announcing the groundbreaking of a new facility. It will turn methane gas, which comes from waste in the landfill that decomposes, into electric. That electric is expected to service more than four thousand homes in Ohio.
Construction is planned to be completed with the facility fully-operational by the end of this year.
