An Indianapolis real estate company has big plans for a Newark hotel that once belonged to the Longaberger Company.
Columbus Business First is reporting that The Place Off The Square was sold by Longaberger, and it will undergo a 4.5 million dollar renovation. Newark Hospitality, an affiliate of Paul Kite Company will start work on the 118 rooms in about a month. The hotel sold for about 1.4 million dollars, and will re-open in late June as Newark Metropolitan Hotel.

The Longaberger Company opened the Longaberger Factory Store at the Polaris Towne Center across from Polaris Fashion Place, on September 1.
The store features Longaberger's handcrafted baskets, pottery and wrought iron along dinnerware and candles.
