Muskingum County Common Pleas Judge Kelly Cottrill sentences a Zanesville woman, who pled guilty in July to stealing more than $142,000 from a volunteer group at Genesis.

46-year-old Tamera Mealey stood before Judge Cottrill in tears.

"I would like to indicate my client has no criminal history. She's cooperated with authorities. She's acknowledged her wrongdoing and accepted responsibility, and she's very remorseful, " says Mealey's Defense Attnory, Mr. Stubbins.

A Zanesville woman was sentenced today in connection with the theft of over $100,000 from a local charity. 46-year-old Tamara Mealey appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court today and was sentenced to two years in prison by Judge Kelly Cottrill. Mealey, a former Good Samaritan Medical Center Gift Shop Manager, plead guilty in July to stealing just over $142,000 dollars from the volunteer group Charity Circle at Genesis. A Zanesville woman pleads guilty Wednesday in connection with the theft of more than $100,000 from a local group.
