For many kids, Memorial Day weekend marks the beginning of summer vacation. But for a local Boy Scout troop they recognize the true meaning behind the holiday.

Many services were held in our area honoring veterans including one here at Woodlawn Cemetery. Zanesville Military Family Support Group AJ Smidt says people come to remember the sacrifices the soldiers made and continue to make for us to be free.
