A Zanesville motorist is in trouble with authorities after being picked up for multiple traffic violations, including hitting a State Patrol vehicle.

Zanesville Police Lt. Bill Shaw says 35-year-old Michel Ellis was driving on Mead Street around 2:20 Thursday morning when he went left of center striking a parked truck head on, causing heavy damage to his vehicle. Ellis attempted to flee the crash and hit a second parked car on Mead Street.
