Students at Mid-East get a taste of what's going to be expected of them when they enter their careers.
The fifth annual Senior Employability Expo took place, Tuesday at both the Buffalo and Zanesville campuses. 90 employers came in from various career fields to talk to the seniors about how to act on job interviews, how to create a resume and tips for success.

Students at Mid-East give the gift of Christmas to students at Starlight Schools.
The kids at Mid-East adopted 32 students from Starlight and raised around $4,000 to buy them gifts. This is the 25th year for the program. The Mid-East students said they best part is giving presents.

The cosmetology room at Mid-East was all a buzz Friday.
The room was taken over by a host of volunteers and Mid-East students helping to make over local residents looking for work. One stylist said she cleared her book for part of the morning so she could help out.
"It's nice for them to get a hair cut. A hair cut makes you feel good and that way they can get back out there," said Fabulous Styles and Cuts Kendra Gillman.
Mid-East Career and Technology Center is recognizing distinguished alumni and their contributions to the community.
Alumni Alan Law, Terry Tysinger, Brent Valee and Catherine Lyons were recognized at the annual Fall Advisory Committee Banquet.
Public Information Coordinator Stacey Snider said recipients are evaluated by a committee and then selected based upon how they use the skills they have learned at Mid-East in their lives.
