One person is in critical condition at OSU Medical Center after an afternoon motrocycle accident.

It happened just after 3 p.m.

The Granville Post of the State Highway Patrol says 30-year-old Michael Wood Jr. of Delaware and 24-year-old Nicholas Kopp of Westerville were traveling northbound on Welsh Hills Road. It says Kopp went off the right side of the road, hit an embankment, and slide back onto the roadway, causing Wood to strike the motorcycle.

A head on crash between a motorcycle and car sent two people to the hospital around 11:45 this morning.

Zanesville Police say Nikki O'Connell was making a left hand turn onto Spangler Drive when she and Robert Starkey who was riding a motorcycle, collided. The impact threw Starkey over a parked pick-up truck and onto the pavement. He was wearing a helmet.

A motorcycle accident had traffic on I-70 East in Zanesville down to one lane Thursday afternoon and sent one woman to the hospital.

Authorities say three motorcycles got on I-70 East at the State Street on-ramp when the first motorcycle carrying 64-year-old Greg Folden moved into the inside lane. A semi blew his horn at Folden who then moved back to the outside lane. The second motorcycle carrying 46-year-old Jill Wagerheim struck the back of Folden's motorcycle.

A fatal accident closes a portion of North 21st St in front of Meijer Grocery Store, Wednesday night.

Sgt. Dave Haren with the Newark Police Department says around 8:40pm, 31-year-old Randall Stidham of Granville was traveling south on 21st St. at a high speed, when he struck a pick-up truck driven by 64-year-old John Wallace of Newark, who was turning onto north 21st St. from a gas station in front of the store.

One person is dead after a Wednesday evening motorcycle accident in Newark.

According to a dispatcher with the Newark Police Department, emergency personnel were called to North 21st street in front of the Meijer grocery store around 8:40 p.m.

The area has been shut down to traffic as authorities investigate and clear the scene.

A man from Parkersburg, West Virginia who came to Zanesville to buy and drive home his new motorcycle is in the hospital after crashing on State Route 60 near the 719 bridge.

Deputies say around 5:30 pm, the man was riding his motorcycle when he blacked-out due to a medical condition, lost control and struck a mailbox.

The man was alert and conscious as he left the scene and was transported by Community Ambulance to the Good Samaritan Hospital. Family members...
