The annual fundraiser benefits the Muscular Dystrophy Association, an organization dedicated to helping people who suffer from neuromuscular diseases. The money raised also gives kids the opportunity to go to camp, have wheelchairs and any other changes they might need in the home.

At the corner of Zane Street and Underwood Traffic slowed down - but only for a minute.
Zanesville Fire Fighters waved down passing vehicles asking them to help "Fill the Boot." This is the second time in recent weeks the crew has hit the street to raise money and awareness of the disease through the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Two weeks ago they raised more than $6,900. Today, they hope to beat that amount - raising a total of $15,000.
