Area seniors are doing their part to contribute to the Muskingum County Bowl for Kids Sake fundraiser.

Although the seniors weren't using "real" bowling balls, they were knocking down pins with Wii remotes.  Tracy Rector of the Willow Haven Care Center said the tournament is a way for the seniors to get exercise and help the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization at the same time.

In Muskingum county voters approved a renewal levy for the Center for Seniors by over 4000 votes.

The half-mill renewal passed with 8,015 votes for, and 3,573 against the levy.

The Muskingum County Center for Seniors is working with the state to help protect senior citizens from fraud.

The Ohio Attorney Generals Office in partnership with the Ohio Consumers' Counsel and the Better Business Bureau are working together to present a resource fair for seniors and other members of the community.

More than five million Americans are believed to have Alzheimer's Disease, and the Muskingum County Center for Seniors is trying to promote awareness.

Veterans of Muskingum County took part in an honorary luncheon Thursday.

A simple meal to meet basic needs. Hundreds came out Sunday afternoon to enjoy the "Souper Bowl."

The hot weather doesn't stop these cooks from heating up the kitchen.  Employees at the Muskingum County Center for Seniors prepare about 300 meals each day for homebound individuals.

"The menu today is pork chops, scalloped potatoes, beets and then we have a fruit and milk," said Don.
