A man is found not-guilty of assaulting a police officer by reason of insanity.
53-year-old Ronald Holler of Zanesville was arrested in March after Zanesville Police responded to a call of shots being fired at a Beverly Avenue home. Authorities say when they arrived on scene Holler assaulted an officer.
Monday in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Holler was found not-guilty of felonious assault on a peace officer by reason of insanity.
A 43-year-old Mount Perry man pled guilty Monday to leading authorities on a motorcycle chase.
According to the Zanesville Police Department, on June 5 officers attempted to pull Delmas Dingey over near the intersection of Underwood and Howard Streets. He refused to stop, leading police on a chase that reached speeds of up to 100 miles-per-hour. Authorities day Dingey lost control near Bellview Drive and crashed the motorcycle, sending him to the hospital.
A McConnelsville man pleads not-guilty Wednesday to charges related to a May bank robbery.
36-year-old Robert Hill appeared before Judge Mark Fleegle in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court. He pled not-guilty to robbery, theft and possession of criminal tools.
Hill was arrested on May 23 after Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz says he robbed the Citizen's National Bank in Duncan Falls. He is also wanted in connection with an October 2010 bank robbery in Cambridge.
In Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Wednesday 35-year-old Jay Shatto pled guilty to a fourth-degree-felony charge of gross sexual imposition.
Court records state the crime took place sometime between April 1 and June 30, 2008. Judge Fleegle ordered a pre-sentence investigation and continued Shatto's bond at $75,000. He remains held in the Muskingum County Jail.
