A man is found not-guilty of assaulting a police officer by reason of insanity.

53-year-old Ronald Holler of Zanesville was arrested in March after Zanesville Police responded to a call of shots being fired at a Beverly Avenue home. Authorities say when they arrived on scene Holler assaulted an officer.

Monday in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Holler was found not-guilty of felonious assault on a peace officer by reason of insanity.

A Zanesville man was found competent to stand trial on a sex charge Monday in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court.

20-year-old Anthony Little is facing one count of rape with a victim of less than 13-years-old.

The alleged incident occurred between December 25, 2010 and January 15, 2011. The case will now move forward.

A Zanesville man pleads guilty in connection with shooting his step-sister in the head.

44-year-old David Gibbs appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Monday and pled guilty to felonious assault. In return a charge of attempted murder will be dropped at sentencing.

On April 27th, Gibbs shot his step-sister Tonya McDonald in the head at a home at 3900 Hemmers Lane in Wayne Township.

Judge Kelly Cottrill ordered a pre-sentence investigation in the case.

A 43-year-old Mount Perry man pled guilty Monday to leading authorities on a motorcycle chase.

According to the Zanesville Police Department, on June 5 officers attempted to pull Delmas Dingey over near the intersection of Underwood and Howard Streets. He refused to stop, leading police on a chase that reached speeds of up to 100 miles-per-hour.
Authorities day Dingey lost control near Bellview Drive and crashed the motorcycle, sending him to the hospital.

A McConnelsville man pleads not-guilty Wednesday to charges related to a May bank robbery.

36-year-old Robert Hill appeared before Judge Mark Fleegle in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court. He pled not-guilty to robbery, theft and possession of criminal tools.

Hill was arrested on May 23 after Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz says he robbed the Citizen's National Bank in Duncan Falls. He is also wanted in connection with an October 2010 bank robbery in Cambridge.

A New Concord man pleads guilty to stabbing his brother in law in February.

26-year-old David Phillips appeared Friday  morning in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court where he entered guity pleas to charges of aggravated assault and domestic violence.

Phillips was arrested on February 1st  when authorities say he was arguing with his wife at their home and stabbed her brother during an altercation.

A Zanesville man appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Wednesday on a rape charge.

20-year-old Anthony Little pled not-guilty to one charge of first-degree felony rape with a victim less than 13-years-old.

Judge Kelly Cottrill continued Little's bond at $100,000. He remains in the Muskingum County Jail.

A Zanesville man is sentenced to one count of Burglary Monday morning.

50-year-old Charles Hamilton plead guilty to the count in January.

Monday he was sentenced to 16 months in prison in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court by Judge Mark Fleegle.

Zanesville Police said Hamilton was arrested in June 2010 after officers said he went through several parked cars in the downtown area and took a lawn mower.

In Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Wednesday 35-year-old Jay Shatto pled guilty to a fourth-degree-felony charge of gross sexual imposition.

Court records state the crime took place sometime between April 1 and June 30, 2008. Judge Fleegle ordered a pre-sentence investigation and continued Shatto's bond at $75,000. He remains held in the Muskingum County Jail.
