The Muskingum County Community Foundation has a new CEO, WHIZ's very own Brian Wagner.

Wagner is WHIZ Media Group's operation manager, as well as radio announcer and meteorologist. He will take his new position as the foundation's CEO on October 6th. Wagner said that the Community Foundation is an organization that has been very close to his heart for a very long time.

Scholarship Central and the Muskingum County Community Foundation received a grant that will allow them to hire 5 people to become Americorps Ohio College Guides.
 

The job will begin August 4th and continue through the following 11 months.

Scholarship Central at the Muskingum County Community Foundation has their own "March Madness" going on this week.

Next Tuesday, April 1st is the deadline for those students wishing to apply for scholarship opportunities. The MCCF has extended their hours from 4 to 7 PM for this Wednesday and Thursday, as well as next Monday and Tuesday. No appointments necessary.

Newly acquired land will soon add to the view of downtown Zanesville.

The Muskingum County Community Foundation recently gained nearly 7 acres of land along the Licking River next to the property that was donated to the foundation by the Upton family in 2006. The Muskingum County Community Foundation is ready for their annual Groundhog Day Celebration and Auction.
