One local group raised thousands of dollars and now they are giving it right back to the community.

The Muskingum County Community Foundation has raised $33,000 for their annual grant competition.

Friday at the 25th Anniversary Groundhog Day Auction two community members received awards for their service.

The Muskingum County Community Foundation presented the Dick Johnson Civic Leadership Award to local businessman Dick McClelland. The award is presented to a local business person who shows leadership in civic engagement, success in business and generosity in contributions to charities and non-profit organizations.

A local organization is looking for donations to help pay some of the college expenses for thirty students.

The thirty students were chosen by the Muskingum County Community Foundation. They will be honored at this Monday's Martin Luther King Junior Scholarship Prayer Breakfast.

High school and college students, would you like a chance at money for higher education?

Well, you're in luck. The Muskingum County Community Foundation has a couple different scholarships up for grabs.

High school students in the community are trying to do their part to keep people warm as the chill of fall approaches.

The Community Youth Foundation is holding a coat drive, starting today, through October 21st. You can drop coats off at any of the collection stations, which can be found at all six Century National Banks and the Muskingum County Community Foundation.
