The Muskingum County Sheriff's office is investigating a letter sent to West Muskingum Middle School threatening 8 students.

the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office executes a search warrant at a Sally Road home.

Tuesday morning, deputies along with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy issued a search warrant at 100 Sally Road.

Since September 11th, law enforcement officials have been learning about the ways suspected terrorists and criminals hide bombs and weapons.

One of three people charged in the death of a Canton Woman found beaten and burned on the side of a road is now in Muskingum County.

Sheriff Matt Lutz said 33-year-old LaFonse Dixon was extradited to Muskingum County last night and is currently sitting in the county jail.

Law enforcement officials are calling last week's OVI Checkpoint in Zanesville a success.

It took place Friday evening on Pershing road in Springfield township.

A Supreme Court ruling could change the way local law enforcement agencies conduct searches on prisoners... Even those being held on a minor offense.

This week the U.S. Supreme Court upheld a 2010 ruling stating that officers do have the right to strip-search inmates to prevent illegal contraband and weapons from being smuggled into jail.

The Muskingum County Sheriff's Office is reporting a road closure.

Salt Creek Drive will be closed on Thursday, March 15 from approximately 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for tree removal between Burnt Mill Road and Wilhelm Road.

Please use alternate routes.

Other repairs will take place between Deer Path Road and Mast Road with flaggers using one-lane traffic control.

Motorist traveling on Richey Road will need to find an alternative route for the next couple of days.

The Muskingum County Sheriff's office is reporting the roadway will be closed Monday, March 12th and Tuesday, March 13th while crews work to remove tress.

The closure will occur between Mill Street and Northpointe Drive from about 8 a.m. until about 3 p.m.

Any questions should be directed to the Falls Township Trustees.
