The Muskingum County Sheriff releases its crime stats for the year of 2012.
This past year the office worked more than 700 cases and made more than 270 arrests. The sheriff said they also confiscated more than $650,000 in drugs. In 2012 they also had over 300 burglary related crimes with a clearance rate of 19 percent. The sheriff said those types of cases are some of the hardest to solve, due to lack of evidence and information.
