Father's Day may be on Sunday, but several area dads decided to celebrate one day early.

ForeverDads hosted their 11th annual All Star Dads Day at the Muskingum Family Y beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Fred Matthews is a proud father who has spent the last 34 years helping coach area youth. He said events like this are a great way to show support for local kids.

Authorities are urging extra vigilance from parents of small children after the accidental drownings of toddlers in three separate Central Ohio incidents last weekend.

Around 30 area kids learn that will help them later in life.

These students are taking part in the Muskingum Family Y's STEAM Camp. The camp aims to teach students about science, technology, energy, art and math. Hands on learning is the focus of a summer camp being offered by the Muskingum Family Y.

Temperatures across the area topped 100 degrees Saturday and when that happens there's no better place to be than the pool.

The Muskingum Family 'Y' had close to a record number of people Saturday thanks to the high temperatures. Going to the pool is a great way to beat the heat among friends.

From shrinking balloons to smoking marshmallows campers at the "Y's" summer camp experience learning hands on.
