Representatives from Muskingum University met with Zanesville City Council Monday evening to determine the necessary criteria in re-districting the city's six wards.

In order to begin the re-drawing of the wards, the city's population must be determined. At the last council meeting, they mistakenly said the city's population was 4,000 more than what it actually is.

Muskingum University celebrated their 175th class of incoming freshman.

More than 400 incoming students were welcomed to Muskingum University. President Doctor Anne Steele has been working at the University for more than 10 years and said it's always a joy to see the faces of the young students. Muskingum University is proud to showcase one of its newest facilities.

Students and musicians at Muskingum University played beautiful music Sunday afternoon to commemorate a well-loved professor.

Doctor William Schlacks passed away unexpectedly at the beginning of the school year.

Tuition is going up $820 for Muskingum University students next year.

A 4.3% tuition increase is going into effect for the 2010-2011 school year. Muskingum University's Vice President of Enrollment, Jeff Zellers, says tuition increases every year as the cost of operation rises. The 2009-2010 school year also saw an increase of 4.3%. Zellers says much goes to toward faculty compensation which is common for a private university.
