Efforts to help beautify downtown Zanesville for summer time are underway.

The Muskingum Valley Garden Society along with other volunteers spent Monday afternoon planting flowers along Main Street in downtown. Garden Society's Beth Brown was one of the organizers and says this could not have been done without the help and monetary support of downtown businesses.

A drive across the Y Bridge just got a little more colorful.

A couple of years ago, an idea was born to beautify one of Zanesville's historic landmarks. That dream has now blossomed into a reality. After today, 16 flower baskets now sit on top of they Bridge's lamp posts.

Area gardeners are donating their time to make downtown Zanesville a little brighter this summer.

The Muskingum Valley Garden Society spent Tuesday afternoon filling the planters on Main Street, at the Welcome Center and in front of City Hall.
