The world's longest-running ATV series is making a stop in Nashport this weekend. The Built Ford Tough Briarcliff ATV National will be held at Briarcliff MX on Saturday, and the top riders from the Mountain Dew ATV Motocross National Championship will be taking part.

Nashport had to deal with a little extra noise Tuesday as the Lights, Sights, and Lasers Tour made a stop at the Dillon Sportsman Center.  

Army veteran and firearms instructor Wes Doss began the tour last year as a way to offer firearms and use of force training to law enforcement and members of the military.  Area officers were able to attend Tuesday's training session at no cost to them thanks to the support of the tour's sponsors.

The sound of gun shots could be heard echoing throughout Nashport Saturday.

The 34th annual Greenwing event hosted by the Zanesville chapter of Ducks Unlimited gave kids a unique opportunity to learn about conservation, gun and hunting safety, all while getting hands-on experience in trap shooting and archery.

Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz said an investigation is underway after a toddler falls out of a second story window.

It happened around 8pm Tuesday night. A three year-old male fell out of an apartment window at 2926 Vista View Drive. Sheriff Lutz said the child fell nearly 11 feet before landing on concrete. He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital with only minor injuries.

Fire investigators says a home fire that started around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night could be arson.

Authorities responded to a structure fire off Creamery Road near Nashport. It happened near the intersection of Winter Wood Drive and Welsh Road.

Witnesses say they could see flames shooting through the roof of the home from about a mile away.

Authorities say there was no one at the home of the time of the fire and the occupant of the home had just moved out a day or so before...
