The Riesbeck family is adding another grocery store to their list.

Dogs are sunbathing at one local pool.

The Friends of New Concord Area Pool hosted the First Annual Doggie Day. About 20 dogs and their owners came out to show support.

"We thought it'd be great to get the owners and their k-9 companions out for a swim and help raise money for the pool," said Friends of New Concord Area Pool member Angie Nelson.

New Concord residents should keep a close eye on their water Tuesday.

The Village will be flushing fire hydrants from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Customers may experience discolored water and should not do their laundry until the water clears.

The New Concord Water Department will be flushing fire hydrants Tuesday.

It will take place from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Customers throughout the Village may experience discolored water and should not do laundry until the water clears.

The New Concord Water Department normally flushes hydrants the 4th Tuesday or Wednesday of each month weather permitting.

One local village spruces up their streets during a Saturday event.

Young and old walk the streets of New Concord with trashbags in hand picking up liter along the way. Some even cleaned leaves from the city gardens. It's part of the fifth annual "Let's Pick it up New Concord" event. This year over 160 people took part.

Residents of the Village of New Concord may experience discolored water Tuesday. The New Concord Water Department says it's due to hydrant flushing taking place from 8am to 3pm. Officials say residents should avoid doing laundry until water clears.
