Newark Police search for those responsible in the theft of a camper.

Police said that last Thursday, July 22, around 11pm an older model two tone Chevy Blazer drove into the small business complex behind the Wendy's Restaurant on Dayton Road.

Forty-five minutes later authorities say that same vehicle was seen on video pulling a 27-foot Airstream Camper out of the complex.

Authorities in Licking County capture a prisoner who escaped Thursday night.

The Licking County Sheriff's Office along with Newark Police found Joshua Homan a little after 7am Friday morning. Officials say the prisoner was being transported through Licking County on his way to Tuscarawas County when he escaped near Dayton Road.

Newark Police can use your help in finding two suspects wanted for robbery.

The Department reports that just after midnight on November 19 a yellow cab driver was robbed by two men in the area of Allen and East Main Streets.

The suspects are described as black males.

There is a $1,000 reward in place for anyone that has information on the robbery.

Newark Police release more details into a Sunday night shooting at 451 Henderson Avenue.

Sgt. Scott Snow says 23-year-old Donald Haser reported around 8:15 that while he was in the bathroom, someone entered his home, came into the bathroom and shot him in the foot.

Snow says the victim can't identify his assailant.

Police have arrested Amber Gough and charged her with tampering with evidence. Sgt. Snow says she was in the home at the time of the shooting, but couldn't say...

A fatal accident closes a portion of North 21st St in front of Meijer Grocery Store, Wednesday night.

Sgt. Dave Haren with the Newark Police Department says around 8:40pm, 31-year-old Randall Stidham of Granville was traveling south on 21st St. at a high speed, when he struck a pick-up truck driven by 64-year-old John Wallace of Newark, who was turning onto north 21st St. from a gas station in front of the store.
