A Newark woman will spend at least 20 years in prison for a murder last August.

Wednesday in Licking County Common Pleas Court 29-year-old Beth Doty pled guilty to one count of aggravated murder and one count of aggravated burglary.

Doty is believed to be the organizer of a group that stabbed 25-year-old John Stouffer to death August 24 on West Harrison Street in Newark.

Entering Tuesday night, the Zanesville Blue Devils were 3-3 on the road, and 3-3 when scoring less than 49 points. At the Cats Lair in Cambridge, the Blue Devils pushed both of those marks to 4-3, beating the host Bobcats 45 to 38. The Newark Police Department says it is responding to a stabbing at 355 Clarendon Street.

The call came in around 10:45 p.m.

Dispatchers say the incident is under investigation and the department's detective division is handling the case.

We'll bring you more information as it becomes available.

Jeff Buchanan took over as the Newark head coach two seasons ago to replace Scott Beery, who was coming off back to back 4-6 years. It was going to be a rebuilding situation for the Wildcats and in the end after two seasons newark will need man to finish the rebuilding

A 53-year-old  Newark woman who was struck by a car Saturday in Heath has died.
 

A Spokesperson with Grant Medical Center in Columbus  says Holly Hammond died Sunday night .
 

Heath Fire Department Captain Earl Miller says Hammond was attempting to cross Ohio 79 near Hopewell Drive when she was struck by a car.
 

She was taken to Licking Memorial Hospital and then taken by Medflight to Grant Medical Center where she later died...
