Construction in Licking County is pushing new traffic patterns on drivers, starting today.
It's part of a widening and relocation project along State Route 161/State Route 37.
ODOT Public Information Officer, Kate Stickle, says those traveling west are riding on the new half of the four lane highway that was put in, but only the driving lane is open. If you are traveling east, there is a restriction as well. The driving lane is the only one open on that half of the highway too....
Drivers traveling along Interstate 77 in Guernsey County will not be able to use the park and rest areas on both the north and southbound sides. They are located by the State Route 313 exit, near mile marker 40.
The closure will start Monday for remodeling, and both areas are not expected to be in use until late-August.

ODOT says one lane of traffic will be restricted between nine a.m. and three p.m. for construction of a structure on Moose Eye Road. Once that project is completed, it will then move onto construction at Zane Grey Road.
O-DOT says it hopes to have this lane restriction lifted sometime next month, weather permitting.
The Ohio Department of Transportation wants to reduce the number of accidents that take place in work zones.
It says motorists need to slow down in these areas and pay attention to their surroundings so they don't get hurt and construction works don't get hurt either. To get out the message, ODOT plans to light buildings across the state in orange, starting tomorrow at eight p.m.
