While the Princeton Review recently recognized Ohio University as the second ranked Top Party School in America, the company is also calling it one of the Best Colleges in the Midwest.

The Athens Police Department is issuing a warrant for the arrest of an Ohio University football player, who was allegedly involved in a weekend burglary and stabbing.

Officers were dispatched to the scene of the apparent burglary Sunday morning at 159 Mill Street. The victim's statement explained that an unknown man was standing in his bedroom late Saturday night. The victim shouted something to the suspect and startled him, causing the man to break through the home's glass door.

More than fifty students from Ohio University will travel to New Orleans to help the Gulf Coast Region.

Fifty-four students raised over $10,000 for travel expenses and lodging to make the trip to New Orleans, Louisiana. While there the team will help victims of Hurricane Katrina and assist in the clean-up efforts from the off shore oil leak in the Gulf.

While the students don't know how much they'll get to assist with the Gulf leak they do know there's still work to be done from...

The Ohio University Police Department is on the lookout for two white males who allegedly sexually assaulted another male student earlier this week.

Officers say the victim was at an off-campus party where he was served multiple drinks. They say the young man remembers blacking out and waking up to one man holding him down while the other man proceeded to rape him.

He was treated at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital and released.

An annual block party, known as High Fest, just off Ohio University's campus gets out of hand Saturday night.

A new survey indicates poor health in Southeastern Ohio.

Ohio University's Appalachian Rural Health Institute conducted the survey in nine counties, including Muskingum and Noble. The results showed high rates of diabetes, heart disease, and obesity. The institute also developed a report on health care coverage in these areas and risk factors.

The Athens Police Department is asking for help from Ohio University students and the community.

It's looking for a suspect, who is described as Latino, between 22 and 28-years-of-age, around 5'5", and about 130 pounds. The man was last seen wearing a tan shirt that had a collar and blue jeans.

Officers say the man allegedly touched a female OU student inappropriately in the Riverpark Towers Apartment complex this weekend. The woman wasn't injured in the incident.

Two universities in the state of Ohio are trying to clamp down on underage drinking.

Thanks to a Drug-Free Action Alliance mini-grant, Ohio University has launched a campaign to help show students the consequences of serving alcohol to minors. The campaign, titled "Buzzkill: Host Under-21 and the Party's Over," has already put five thousand information cards in the hands of students on and off-campus.

Ohio University may have lost to the University of Tennessee this afternoon, by a score of 83-68, but local residents say to get to the round of 32 is a pretty big accomplishment.

In light of the eight cases of bacterial meningitis Ohio University has experienced over the past two years, it's trying to take a more proactive approach to protect students for what the Centers for Disease Control is calling an outbreak.

It is launching a new Website that will contain information about the symptoms, risks, and prevention of bacterial meningitis.
