A Coshocton man who was arrested early Sunday morning, is no stranger to jail cells, after being charged six separate times with the same offense.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says, 48 year old, Douglas S. Kirkbride has been charged for the sixth time of operating a vehicle under the influence. The Ohio State Highwaty Patrol in Conjunction with the Zanesville Police Department  said they will hold an OVI checkpoint Saturday in Muskingum County.

The checkpoint will take place from 8 p.m to 12 a.m. on Pershing Road in Springfield Township.

The checkpoint is funded by federal grant funds and is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Pataskala Police Department will have an OVI checkpoint from 9:00-1:00 a.m. Saturday night on Broad Street in Pataskala.

The OVI checkpoint is funded by federal grants and is to deter and intercept impaired drivers and help prevent alcohol related injuries and fatal crashes.

Authorities release the name of a man who they say drove drunk and damaged three Zanesville homes this week.

Det. Sgt. Ric Roush says 37-year-old Troy Hyson has been charged with OVI, having no operator's license and failure-to-control in connection with the crash late Wednesday night.

Roush says Hyson had a beer in his hand when he drove a vehicle into homes on Curtis, Sevall and Pine Streets.

Memorial Day weekend has come to and end and the numbers are in.

The Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol was out in full force over the holiday weekend. State Trooper, Stephen Williams said, more than 600 stops were made, and about 400 of those were given citations. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is increasing its efforts to enforce safety on the roadways and prevent drunk driving.

Reports show that last year there were 13,919 OVI related crashes on Ohio roadways, killing 397 people and injuring an additional 8,517. Sergeant Clark Felix said these numbers are unacceptable and need to be reduced.

During its investigation, the Zanesville Post was able to determine that Binckley's license is under suspension for O.V.I. related charges.

The OVI tags on Binckley's car were visible at the scene. Lt. Rine says the first conviction happened back in March 2008 and the most recent was in May of 2010. WHIZ asked if alcohol may have been a contributing factor in this crash.

A Zanesville man is facing OVI and failure to control charges after an accident in South Zanesville last night.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. on Greenhouse Road.

One person is dead after an overnight accident on US 62 in Knox County.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. near Danville.
