The State Highway Patrol said they'll hold an OVI checkpoint Friday in Guernsey County.

The checkpoint will take place from 8p.m. to 12a.m. on US 22 Glenn Highway near mile post 6. 

The checkpoint is funded by federal grand funds and is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.

The State Highway Patrol announced Friday the location of an OVI checkpoint in Fairfield County.

The checkpoint will be held from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. on State Route 204 just east of State Route 37 in Fairfield County.

The OVI checkpoint is funded by federal grant funds and is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.

The checkpoint will also be held in conjunction with nearby saturation patrols to aggressively combat alcohol-related injury and fatal crashes.

The Lancaster Post of the State Highway Patrol announces an OVI checkpoint for Friday evening.

The checkpoint will take place in Fairfield County and is funded by federal grant funds. It is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.

Lt. Craig Cvetan commander of the Lancaster Post said, "Based on provisional data there were 429 OVI related fatal crashes in which 478 people were killed last year in Ohio.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol makes plans for an OVI checkpoint in Muskingum County.

The checkpoint will take place in an area known for OVI activity. Cars will be checked based on a pattern created by troopers.

"During the contact we'll look at the driver for impairment. Glassy eyes, slurred speech, strong odor of an alcoholic beverage, failure to yield to the OVI checkpoint and there may be some traffic violations as they come in," said State Highway Patrol Lt....

Troopers with the Cambridge Post of the State Highway Patrol will be on the lookout for impaired drivers Friday night.

Patrol Commander Lt. Nakia Hendrix says an OVI check point will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on State Route 821 in Olive Township in Noble County.

The Cambridge Post of the State Highway Patrol said the patrol has announced troopers will be on the lookout for impaired drivers this week.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced an OVI checkpoint to deter and intercept impaired drivers. The county where the checkpoint will take place will be announced the day before and the location of the checkpoint will be announced the morning of.
