Dr. Brad Brautigan of Orthopaedic Associates of Zanesville is riding over 100 miles in the Pelotonia ride this weekend in honor of his former employee, Rita Church, who passed away from cancer in 2010.

"She was a long time employee here at orthopaedic associates," said Brautigan. "She fought cancer for years. We were all witness to that, and she fought hard."

An area family is doing their part to support cancer research...

A 2010 Pelotonia bike rider is dead following an accident in Hocking County.

It happened around 2:15 p.m. at the intersection of State Routes 180 and 374.

The Athens Post of the State Highway Patrol says a state trooper was directing traffic at the intersection and motioned for 57-year-old Ervin Blackstone to stop his pick-up truck. It says Blackstone continued driving and struck 57-year-old Michelle Kazlausky, who was on her bike. Kazlausky was transported to Hocking Valley...
