 A traffic stop in Perry County leads to the discovery of a mobile meth lab. 

The Perry County Sheriff's Office said it happened just after 7 p.m. Wednesday. 

A sheriff's deputy stopped a Ford Explorer on Dutch Ridge Road in Pike Township. The occupants of the vehicle were suspected to be involved in an aggravated assault that occurred earlier in the evening.

The Perry County Sheriff's Office is investigating a robbery that took place late Wednesday night.

Around 11 p.m. the sheriff's office received a 911 call from John's Place at 113 East Main Street in Corning in reference to an armed robbery. 

When deputies arrived the clerk advised them that one white male entered the store and fired a shot into the ceiling and ordered the clerk to the ground.

Authorities in Perry County are seeing positive results since joining a multi-agency drug task force.
 

In November of 2009, the Perry County Sheriff's Office joined forces with the Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force.

The Perry County Sheriff's Office investigates a Tuesday night robbery.

Authorities said just before 9:30p.m. they received a call from Wohrle's Carry Out in Shawnee. The clerk told deputies that a male subject wearing a grey jacket with a black strip across the front and down the sleeves along with a black mask opened the door and grabbed the cash register off the counter and ran out the door with the register.

Five miners suffer injuries after an accident Wednesday morning at Buckingham Coal.

Perry County Sheriff William Barker said John Reich from Woodsfield and Brian Post from Corning were flown by Medflight to Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Brian McLaughlin of Glouster and Todd Sinift of Corning were transported by local ems to O'Blenis Hospital in Athens.

A fifth victim Jeremy Hasman of Glouster was taken by EMS to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital.

Emergency personnel are responding to an accident at Buckingham Coal between Corning and Glouster.

The Perry County Sheriff's Office said two deep mine cars carrying miners into and out of the mine collided.

Squads are on the scene and a medical helicopter is on stand-by.

Scanner reports indicate that five or six miners were injured in the accident that took place around 7:30 Wednesday morning.

Authorities in Perry County are investigating a meth lab discovered Monday afternoon.

Around 1 p.m. deputies arrived at 14975 Earl Place in Thornville to serve a warrant to a man living at the residence and discovered a meth lab inside of the residence.

Sergeant Keith Peck with the Perry County Sheriff's Office said the man was arrested for the warrant and two others in the house were detained for questioning and could face charges in connection to the bust.

After a search using a helicopter and K-9's authorities were able to locate a missing man from Perry County.

Shane Peterson of 9824 State Route 669 in Crooksville was last seen Wednesday morning.

Peterson was located by a helicopter around 8 p.m. Thursday evening swimming nude in a pond off of Old Rainer Road. Authorities say he was alert, but confused about his where-a-bouts.

Three people are in custody after police bust a meth lab in Perry County

The Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force received a tip just after 6:30 that some people had purchased supplies to make methamphetamine.

Perry County Sheriff's Sergeant Pat Corder said authorities were able to track down a suspects' truck to 3530 Township Road 123 in Reading Township, just outside of Somerset.

A man wanted by the Perry County Sheriff's Office is now in custody.

46-year-old Keith Watts turned himself into authorities Tuesday.
 

While searching for Watts on Monday, deputies say they discovered a meth lab at his home at 9796 State route 669 in Crooksville.
 

Watts is being held in the Southeastern Ohio Regional  Jail on probation violation charges.
