The Philo Electrics are coming off a wildly successful 2013 season that saw them not only make the playoffs for the first time since 1995, but route John Glenn in the first round. Still, this season may be an uphill battle for the boys from Duncan Falls given the loss of an integral senior class. J.T. Raymond has more.
The Philo boys soccer team has battled adversity before, on and off the field, but head coach Matt Brown has helped them form a different perspective. Brown has overcome cancer twice, but recently learned the disease returned. He will begin a 6 week radiation treatment plan next week in Bloomington, Indiana, which will cut his season short. While he won't be there physically, his spirit and attitude is reflected through his team.
