Zanesville's famous Y-Bridge is celebrating a major milestone this year.

The first Y-Bridge was constructed 200 years ago in 1814. From stagecoaches to automobiles and covered wooden bridges to the current concrete one, the bridge has certainly seen some changes throughout the years.

The Pioneer and Historical Society held a "Night at the Museum" for members and guests Thursday night to unveil a new exhibit on the Flood of 1913.

With the 100 year anniversary of the flood last year, the society worked with us at WHIZ to create a series of vignettes telling the stories of the flood.

A piece of Muskingum County history is in need of funds.

A portion of the Stone Academy's roof dating back to 1835 is leaking and sagging. Repairing the roof will take $16,000. Thursday, the director of the Pioneer and Historical Society spoke with county commissioners about the project and asked them to contribute $2,000. The project is under the organizations priorities for preservation.
