At least two people now have a lot of holiday cash and some to spare.  Lottery officials say there are two winning tickets from Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing.  The tickets were sold in Arizona and Missouri.  They’ll be splitting a jackpot of 579.9 million dollars before taxes, or a cash option of 379.8 million dollars before taxes. Some good news for Ohio -- There is a one million dollar ticket sold in the buckeye state.

Ohio Lottery patrons saw an increase in Powerball prices Sunday and one local retailer saw a decline in sales. Ticket prices for the popular lottery drawing doubled, along with the minimum jackpot.

Mother Tuckers gas station on Sharon Avenue reported a decline in sales of Powerball.

Patrons who declined to speak on camera expressed an overall dissatisfaction regarding the price increase. Cashier Jacob Wood believes people just don't want to pay more.

Ohio Lottery players can expect to pay twice as much for their chance at a big cash prize.

Players of the Ohio Lottery's Powerball drawings will see ticket prices go up from one to two dollars. With the doubling in price comes a doubling of the jackpot as well, which will start at 40 million dollars. At Mother Tucker's gas station on Sharon Avenue, cashier, Erik Land believed the hike in price might actually help improve ticket sales.

Powerball made its big debut in Ohio Friday.

The multi-state lottery game has a starting jackpot of $20 million. Mother Tucker's Manager, Josh Bailey, says since the store opened he has sold about 30 dollars in tickets.

"People are really excited to come in and try a new game, it has been out of state and we just got it into Ohio, so we will try new things," says Bailey.

Ohio residents will no longer have to drive to neighboring states to take part in Powerball.

The popular multi-state lottery game with a starting jackpot of $20 million is going on sale in the Buckeye State Friday. Local retailers are getting prepared for the customers wanting to take the 1 in 195 million chance of winning the jackpot.
