Eastside Community Ministries are gearing up for their annual Prom Dress Giveaway. This is the fourth year for the event to benefit girls who may struggle to afford costly proms.
"We got the idea several years ago, that there were an awful lot of girls who, for whom the prom is a huge expense and that if we could arrange for some people who had dresses left over to donate those dresses it would be a benefit to everybody," Sally Goins

Eastside Community Ministry presented the "Once Upon A Prom Dress" Giveaway Sunday at the Muskingum County Welcome Center. Eastside's Program Committee Chairman Sally Goins said the facility was full of gowns, and she's grateful for the support.
"I think the community has just really gotten behind it. You know, a prom dress is something that typically you only use one...
We're about a month away from prom season, and Eastside Community Ministry wants to make sure every girl has a dress for the occasion, even if they can't afford one.
"I think everybody, when they're in high school, to go to the prom and look beautiful is something that every girl deserves to be able to do, and we want to be able to help with that, " says event coordinator Sally Goins.
It's holding its first ever Prom Dress Giveaway next Monday, April 5th from 3 to 5 p.m...
