The 14th Annual Lincoln Luncheon commemorated the birthday's of President Abraham Lincoln and the late Dr. Harley Flack, a Zanesville native who was the fourth president of Wright State University. The luncheon, which was held at the Zanesville Country Club, also served as a fundraiser for the PURE Center. President of the PURE Center, Liesta Walker, called the luncheon a "true community event."

The 14th Annual PURE Center Lincoln Luncheon is coming up and members are inviting you to come and join in the festivities.

The event is a celebration of President Abraham Lincoln's birthday as well as one of the largest fundraisers for the Putnam Underground Railroad Education Center. The Lincoln Luncheon brought out many members of the community for its thirteenth year.

The luncheon was held at Zane State/Ohio University Zanesville Campus Center. The annual event acts as a fundraiser for the Putnam Underground Railroad Education Center.

Zanesville is celebrating Black History month...

The Putnam Underground Railroad Educational Center is hosting a series of programs in February to recognize the Y-city's involvement in black history. Chairperson Kathy Brantley said she hopes residents are informed of lesser known facts about African-Americans in Zanesville.

One woman is bringing the past to the present for Black History Month.

Friday, the Putnam Underground Railroad Education Center held the tenth annual Lincoln Luncheon. The lucheon had a special presentation by Annette Jefferson on the life of Sojourner Truth. She was a former slave who walked away to freedom and into the history books.
