A project set to cost $1.8 takes a step forward Monday.

Quicksall and Associates met with the Muskingum County Commissioners to submit the contract for the design plan for sewer project in the Avondale area.

Currently, Avondale contributes to a lift station near the Wal-mart that pumps excess water to another station. The area has seen problems because of it and is working with the Environmental Protection Agency to correct it.
