The line was out the door most of the day at the Rambo Memorial Health Center for people wanting to get the H1N1 vaccine.


As of today anyone can get the the swine flu vaccine and the Rambo Memorial was packed with people trying to stay protected from the virus.

The Rambo Memorial Health Center is looking for some additional seasonal flu vaccines, and it is asking local healthcare providers for help.

"If there's any private physicians' offices that have an overabundance of vaccine, if they could donate that to rambo, that would help just to get the vaccine in a clinic setting, " says Rambo Memorial Health Center Executive Director, Crystal Bebout.

It was a great election for the Rambo Memorial Health Center.

It scored a big victory in the polls easily passing a levy on Tuesday. That's something Executive Director Crystal Bebout is happy about.

"We were on pins and needles all night and finally at 9:30 p.m. they gave us the numbers and we were so thrilled that we passed at a higher rate than the past levy," said Bebout. "We had a drop in the 90s, but we are back up to where we were before that....

 The Zanesville post office mailed out over 9,000 gift seals to the community Tuesday.

It's all part of an annual fundraiser by the Muskingum Respiratory Care Association to help raise money for the Rambo Memorial Health Center.


"All the money stay 100% right here in Muskingum County. It helps support the services that Rambo provides to the community at little to no cost, such as the flu vaccine, h1n1 that is coming out now, free chest x-rays, kids...

200 pregnant Muskingum County women are immunized against the H1N1 virus.

Rambo Memorial Health Center just wrapped up its first H1N1 vaccination clinic that was four hours long.

At times, women were out the door waiting to get in and sign their forms.

"We are taking more names though for the waiting list. I was told that there were 750 pregnant women in Muskingum County. So, we will continue to do this along with our mist when we get some additional for the high risk...

There is a nationwide shortage of the seasonal flu vaccine. Typically the Rambo Memorial Health Center gives out free flu shot to Muskingum County but this year they ran out.


Crystal Bebout Executive Director of Rambo Memorial Health Center says they gave out 13,000 flu shots in five days.
 

Bebout says normally they do not have any problem with the seasonal flu vaccine but because of the swine flu people are afraid and taking shots very seriously.
