Last weekend there were 15 fires in the Red Cross' central and southeastern Ohio region. The Muskingum Valley Red Cross Executive Director Marlene Henderson says almost $10,000 was spent in assistance on the 82 people whose homes caught fire. An annual fundraiser brought local law enforcement agencies and fire departments together for a good cause.

Saturday, at Riverside Park the 6th annual Guns and Hoses Tournament took place.This year, the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office, Muskingum County Juvenile Detention Center and ZPD played for the guns, while Falls Township, Adamsville and Dresden Fire Departments all played for the hoses in a friendly round of softball. The Red Cross is calling out to the community to aid them in supporting the victims of flooding in Colorado.
