A local businessman is now bringing his ethnic influence to Zanesville.

Curvy Closet, a full-figured consignment shop celebrated its grand opening on Tuesday. The shop located at 914 Adair Avenue in Zanesville specializes in consignment and resale of women's plus-size clothing. Locals now have a new place to shop for children's clothing.

The Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony for The Children's Place at the Colony Square Mall in Zanesville on Monday.

"I think they've got very good prices and a great selection of kids clothes so you can't beat that," said Colony Square Mall Marketing Director Kevin Pinson.

Another new business is planting its home in Zanesville.

The 21st ribbon cutting ceremony in the city took place today at Buckets Bar on Sharon Avenue. Buckets was formerly Champs Bar and Grill. While not a lot has changed overall since the bar was Champs, Owner Teresa Arnold says she does have a full liquor license which she hopes will draw more business. She is also looking into making a couple additions to the menu.

Buckeye Lake's Shore on the north end of the state park is ready for people to experience the newly renovated area.

There's a three-lane concrete ramp and more boating docks for boaters. The entrance road was widened, additional parking is included, and a dry hydrant was put in for firefighters.

The project spanned five years and cost more than $600,000 to complete.

A new business in Zanesville is officially open.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held this morning at Dreamer's Motorsports, just off Maple Avenue. It's something that co-owners Kenny Atkins, Jennifer Agin, and Agin's husband say has been a long-time coming.
