The Muskingum County Engineer's office is announcing a road closure for this week.

The Moxadarla Road Bridge near the intersection of Darlington Drive will be closed Wednesday and Thursday from 8a.m. to 4p.m.

The waterline connected to the bridge will be removed during the closure due to work that will be completed in the upcoming months.

The engineer's office asks that you use alternate routes and anyone with questions should contact the Maysville Regional Water district...

Some drivers are not paying attention to the road closed signs posted along State Route 93.

The Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol says it has been patrolling the area with the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office and has already made 11 contacts with drivers, resulting in four warnings, seven citations for driving on a closed roadway, and two crashes where nearby properties were damaged.

Drivers will not be allowed to travel on one Zanesville road tomorrow.

The Muskingum County Engineer's Office says Pinecrest Drive will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. so crews can tackle a cross-culvert replacement. The closure will take place between Pleasant Valley Road and Sand Ridge Road.

County Engineer Doug Davis is asking those who use this road to please find an alternative route.

The Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol says it's searching for a driver who was involved in an accident on Licking Road.

It happened around eight p.m.

Scanner traffic indicated receiving several calls of a car flipping multiple times. The Chevy black Camaro did sustain visible, moderate damage.

Troopers say the driver appears to have fled on foot, and they are uncertain if he was injured.

The road was shut down for more than an hour as crews worked to secure...

An accident closed part Military Road  for a few hours today.The Zanesville Highway Patrol says a van driven by 45-year-old Sherry Stotts crashed into a power pole at the intersection of Military Road and Sandhurst Drive just after 8:00 Wednesday morning. American Electric Power crews spents a couple of hours replacing the power pole.  Stotts was taken to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital and then transported to Grant Medical Center in Columbus ...

A two vehicle accident closes the northbound lanes of State Route 93 in Crooksville for about an hour.

It happened around four p.m. in front of Blacker's Pharmacy near Buckeye Street.

Lancaster Post Trooper Matthew Tharp says the driver of the silver car was attempting to make a right hand turn from Buckeye Street onto State Route 93, when he collided with the driver of a gray Ford truck, who was traveling northbound.

Some Licking County residents traveling in Newark are going to need a detour for as ODOT crews work on a project funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Buena Vista Street will be closed from eight a.m. to three p.m. for about a week so that crews can work on the overhead bridge.

Alternate routes for drivers include: State Route 13, North Front Street, Cedar Street, or Oakwood Avenue.

The closure is part of the State Route 16/State Route 97 Improvement Project...

The Muskingum County Engineer's Office is alerting motorists about an upcoming road closure.
 

Officials say Licking Road will be closed Monday through Wednesday next week between Dillon Falls Road and Rehl Road.
 

The road will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
 

Crews will be removing trees in that area weather permitting.
 

Only school buses and emergency personnel will be allowed access to the road.

A five car accident closes State Route 36 for almost three hours and sends one woman to the hospital.

It happened this afternoon at the intersection of State Routes 36 and 83 in Coshocton County.

Sheriff's Deputy Mark Sharrock says Leonard Bragg was driving a truck that had an attached trailer with three cars on it. He says the brakes failed on Bragg's trailer, causing him to struck four other vehicles, including a car driven by Mariyn West, a car driven by Lisa Oyler, a pick-up...

One person is sent to the hospital after a late morning accident.

It happened around 11:15 a.m. on State Route 13 near Utica.

The Granville Post of the State Highway Patrol says the accident closed a portion of State Route 13 for a couple hours because a broken pole needed repaired.

The cause of the accident still remains under investigation.
