Just more than a month ago a pipe in the Rockies Express Pipeline ruptured just south of Philo. Now the company is admitting to first responders, it made mistakes.
"I think the ball was dropped by Rockies initially and they admitted too that they did not get out and train with us, they did not give us a lot of phone numbers or contact number and I believe all that was straightened out at the meeting," says Bo Keck, Director of the Muskingum County Emergency...
The evacuated residents are back in their homes, but they say they are concerned for their safety after the Rockies Express Pipeline gas leak.
"I was on my porch, heard it and then looked over toward the pumping station and saw a big cloud dust and gas blowing toward the house, Phil Crowders house. You could hear a constant noise it sounded like a jet taking off," tells resident Dan Wilson.
Residents who live near the compressor station say they were alarmed...
A big boom and jet engine-like noises could be heard near Philo Saturday morning.
Part of the Rockies Express Pipeline ruptured around 10:30 AM, because of a gas leak. It happened near the compressor station on Irish Ridge Road. Due to preset safety measures, the pipeline shut down after the rupture.
"There were no injuries. There was actually no fire, just the explosion the gas blowing out of the ground or out of the plant, I am not sure...
