It's not every day that a Grammy-nominated singer comes to town.

But this Friday, country music star Jake Owen will be stopping in Zanesville for part of his tour.

"We are so excited that Jake Owen is coming to Zanesville, Ohio," said Secrest Marketing Director Ann Combs. "He's a Grammy nominee artist. He's been making leaps and bounds for the last five years. We're so excited that they've decided to make Zanesville a part of their tour stop this year....

This is the third year for the "Best of Zanesville" show, held at Secrest Auditorium, but the number of acts is growing, and there's some fresh new faces taking the stage.

It's that time of year again. Young women from around Southeastern Ohio are beginning to compete for the Miss Muskingum Valley crown.

Today the girls got together for some pointers from Miss Ohio 2008 Karissa Martin.

Some local performers are lending their talents to help benefit the Muskingum Valley Red Cross this holiday season.

The show, "The Gifts," took place at Secrest Auditorium tonight.

The sweet sounds of holiday music fill the air at Secrest Auditorium Saturday night.

Around 455 high school students were bustling before Saturday's Muskingum Valley Education Service Center's Show which featured traditional Christmas tunes along with some old favorites like Jon Lennon and Yoko Ono's Happy Christmas.

Secrest Auditorium is gearing up for some upcoming holiday performances.

They are designed to not only spread holiday cheer but to help some local organizations.

The Zanesville Concert Association is giving area fourth grade students the chance to listen to and to learn more about music.
