A Zanesville man was sentenced Monday in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court on charges in connection with an incident at the Lighthouse Inn last summer.

Some Muskingum County offenders are getting a second chance to show they can change their ways.

"I don't lie anymore, I don't try to do everything I can to get money to buy drugs which is what I was doing all day everyday when I was using, I was a mess," said Megan Lewis.

Muskingum County Common Pleas Judge Kelly Cottrill sentences a Zanesville woman, who pled guilty in July to stealing more than $142,000 from a volunteer group at Genesis.

46-year-old Tamera Mealey stood before Judge Cottrill in tears.

A woman who pled guilty in September to the involuntary manslaughter of her child was sentenced in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Monday morning.
