It's Sertoma Pancake Day in Zanesville and already more than 1,000 people have filtered through the doors of Secrest Auditorium.
The doors opened on the 52nd Annual event at 6a.m Wednesday morning. People were lined up for the taste of all the pancakes they could eat along with sides of sausage and orange juice.

The annual Sertoma Pancake Day is set for Wednesday, November 14th, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Secrest Auditorium. Event Co-Chair Russell Taylor said this is the 52nd year for the all-you-can-eat event.
"It starts months in advance. Thank God we have a program we go by every year... So it helps us, so it shouldn't be too much work to do, but it can be hectic at times."

The rain didn't stop people from pouring into Secrest Auditorium for a stack of flapjacks.
For 51 years, Sertoma Pancake Day has been a family tradition in Zanesville. About 6,000 people were expected to eat 51 cases of pancake mix and 1,800 pounds of sausage. Trenda Ribble and Sandra Rosenberger brought their 91-year-old mother with them to spend some quality time together.

The Sertoma Club purchased 60 tables for Secrest Auditorium to help seat more people during fundraiser events. Club member Dick McClelland said it was time to replace the tables.

Thousands of people are expected to fill Secrest Auditorium throughout the day for all-you-can-eat pancakes. Doors open at 6 AM and pancakes will be served until 7 PM Wednesday night. Tickets are $5 in advance and $6 at the door. All the proceeds will stay local and help different organizations in our community.
