Residents in South Zanesville are continuing clean up efforts and local businesses and churches are lending assistance to those who need it.
Pastor Joy French has turned the basement of the South Zanesville United Methodist Church into a 24-hour cooling center for those without electricity.
"We have several church members that are either older folks or they have breathing issues, asthma conditions, and they don't have any power," said French.
The big storms that ripped through our area are causing problems in South Zanesville. Village Officials are asking residents there to conserve water until further notice.
It began Monday after excess iron build up forced officials to shut down the Village's water plant.
Water Superintendent Danny Wiseman notes, residents are no longer advised to boil all cooking and drinking water. He thanks residents for their cooperation.
A boil alert is still in affect for South Zanesville residents.
