Some area students learned an important lesson on negative effects of bullying with the help of music.

The Southeastern Ohio Symphony Orchestra had a concert for fifth graders at the Secrest Auditorium on Monday . Their mission was to educate children about the harms of bullying. Regional musicians are ringing in the holiday season with a special concert.

Hundreds of people packed Secrest Auditorium Thursday evening to listen to some holiday tunes.

It marked the 37th annual Holiday Pops Concert for the Southeastern Ohio Symphony Orchestra. This is Professor David Turrill's first year participating in the concert and he says he enjoys being able to bring holiday cheer through music.

Music with a Spanish flavor poured out of Brown Chapel at Muskingum University in remembrance.
