The Highway Patrol will be looking for drunk drivers Friday night during a sobriety checkpoint in Muskingum County.

The highway patrol had its hands full with back to back accidents on U.S. 40 Thursday afternoon.

Two almost simultaneous rollover crashes in Duncan Falls tied up troopers and traffic Thursday evening.
Around 5 p.m. troopers were called to the corner of State Route 60 and Millers Lane for a three-car-accident. According to the State Highway Patrol, 62-year-old Judy Hooper of Duncan Falls was stopped in a Chevy HHR on Water Street and 48-year-old Tammy Reed of Duncan Falls was stopped in a Nissan Rogue on Millers Lane.
Muskingum and surrounding counties saw a slight drop in the number of fatalities this year compared to last year.
A map posted on the State Highway Patrol's website shows that Muskingum County had seven fewer fatalities than last year. Perry County also saw a drop with four less fatalities. Guernsey County saw three less fatal crashes. Noble and Coshocton Counties were both down only one fatality than last year and Morgan and Licking Counties were unchanged.
