The Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in a theft from a Newark business.

Newark Police report overnight on December 29, 2010, someone stole a commercial air conditioning unit from Subway restaurant located at 335 Mt. Vernon Rd.

Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone with information on the robbery of a Heath restaurant.

It happened on October 9th around 8:15 p.m. The Heath Police Department says a male suspect attempted to rob the Subway on Hebron Road but left without any cash after he saw another customer pull into the parking lot. Officers indicate witnesses saw the man flee on foot with another suspect, who was in the parking lot behind the restaurant.

Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information on an armed robbery at a Newark restaurant.

Newark Police report that on May 23 around 9:50 a.m. a male suspect robbed the Subway on North 21st Street.

Police say the suspect brandished a large revolver type handgun and demanded money from the two female clerks.

The suspect fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white male, between 20-25 years...

Local Subway franchises have a new owner.

Randy Murgittroyd sold his stores, located in Zanesville, Dresden, and Duncan Falls, to three area men back in February after receiving an offer he couldn't refuse.

"We kind of battled back and forth. Do we do it or don't we do it? Because there's a lot of emotional ties. That's all we were known by is Subway. So, it was kind of an identity crisis for us too, " says Murgittroyd.
